He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Mary Bolter; his sister-in-law Vera Bolter; and his parents, Reginald Bolter and Edith Bolter. He is survived by: his children, Gillian Bolter, Andrew Bolter (Diane George-Bolter), Sara Bolter (John Currid) and David Bolter (Nancie Im-Bolter); his grandchildren, Genevieve Lennox (Jeff McLarnon), Andrew Lennox (Cinthia Cordova), Gabriel George, Gwyneth Bolter and Riley Bolter; his great grandchildren, Fiona, Imogen, Lily and Emmett; his brother John Bolter; and his nieces and nephews, Jon and Jerry Bolter.
