Emily Yvonne McCarthy Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Yvonne McCarthy of Saint-Thomas, Ontario, who passed away on April 21, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest "Ernie" McCarthy; her parents, Frederick Young and Jean Young; her siblings, Jim Young, Fred Young, Freda (Jake Van Arenthals), Gertrude "Tiny" (Glenn Kennedy), Bob (Patricia Young) and John Young; and her brothers-in-law, Art Cain and Jack Benda.

She is survived by: her children, Janet McCarthy and Jim McCarthy (Silvana); her grandchildren, Karlene and Kenzie McCarthy; her daughter Charmaine Young; and her siblings, Marie Cain, Ken Young (Marion) and Pat Benda.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation and family service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Saturday.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
