Elisabeth Dina Hoekstra Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elisabeth Dina Hoekstra of Saint-Thomas, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband George Hoekstra; her sisters, Geraldine Jones (Foster), Aaf Medema, Christina Anderson and Cobi Cummins (Daru); and her parents, Jacob Medema and Jane Medema.

She is survived by: her children, Allen Hoekstra (Brenda), Jane Hoekstra (Robert) and Grace Defayette (Rene); her siblings, Helen Voerman (late Tammo), Eric Medema (Anita), Elaine Bishop (Brian), Irene Sladek (Elbert), Jane Chambers (Peter) and Paul Medema (Anne); her sister-in-law Sadie Dykstra (late Jack); and her friend Gretha Huisman of Groningen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Salvation Army or the food bank would be greatly appreciated.
