He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Yurek; his brother Louis (late Gemma); and his parents, Charles Yurek and Josephine Yurek. He is survived by: his children, Peter (Nancy), Mike (Kathy), Sue Fougere (Ernie), Diane Alavie (Reza), Joe (Shari) and Jeff (Jenn); his grandchildren, Emily, Nick, Anne (Chris), Ben (Laura), Ashley (Kwin), Teresa, Elyse, Scott (Brianna), Jessica, Tyler, Tom (Katherine), Andrew, Greg, Matthew and Maggie; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Lily and Alavie; his brother John R. "Jack" (Bev); and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Henderson, Edward, Bev Henderson and Clair Sceli. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
