She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald "Jerry" Coates; her siblings, Irma Barnett, Doris Allard and Ivan Lavallee; and her parents, William Lavallee and Mary Lavallee.
She is survived by: her children, Sandy Coates-Graham (Jerry Graham), Sue Coates (Ken Warner) and Larry Coates (Lynn); her grandchildren, Peter Graham, Jenni Graham, Allison Warner, Shannon Warner, Alex Coates and Mike Coates; and her sibling Val Clowery. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to VON St. Thomas-Elgin, the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
