She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert John "Herbie" Welch; her granddaughter Roxanne Sharkey (Sean); and her parents, James Wilson and Dorothy Wilson (Lester). She is survived by: her children, Martin Welch (Linda Doan), Deborah McLachlin and Stephen Welch (Laura); her grandchildren, Becky Van Pelt (Ryan), Timothy Welch, Christopher McLachlin (Tina), Gary Welch (Jacki) and Andrew Welch (Terry Meyer); and her great grandchildren, Hailey, Brianna Welch, Paige, Nicholas Welch, Michael, Emily, Kimberly, Ashling, Peter Sharkey, Katrina, Elizabeth, Wesley, Dalton McLachlin, Sydney and Tyler Welch.
