It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy (Bell) Alway of Saint-Thomas, Ontario, who passed away on January 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy (Bell) Alway to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harry C. Alway; her siblings, Lorelie Downey (late Marvin), Effie McTavish (late Robert), Milton Bell (late Jean), Ruby Alexander (late Harold), Archibald Bell, Gordon Bell (late Anne) and Sheila Westlake (late Al); and her parents, Daniel Bell and Viola "Violet" Bell.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Oke (James), Raymond Alway and Merrilee Fishback (John); her grandchildren, Breanna (Gabriel), Kevin, Tressa (Wyatt), Alex and Xandria; her sibling Dr. Aletta Bell; and her siblings-in-law, Edward "Ted" Alway (late Erna) and Eileen Spitzke (late Ron Alway). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Eastwood Baptist Church (400 Wellington St, St Thomas, ON N5R5T3). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
