He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Donald A. and Patricia "Pat" Gilbert. He is survived by: his daughter Colleen Patricia Gilbert; his brothers, Michael (Ava McAlpine) of Port Stanley, Stephen (Annette) of London and Jeffery (Silvana) of Kleinburg; his nieces and nephews, Alex, Spencer and Alexis; his uncle Brian; and his aunt Penny Anderson of Markham.
