She was predeceased by: her husband Manfred Aszmies; and her parents, Diedrich Thiessen and Sarah Thiessen (Siemans). She is survived by: her children, Sarah Bueckert (Abraham), Mary Reimer (John), David Teichroeb, Katharina Teichroeb (Dan), Johnny Teichroeb and Lena Melo; and her siblings, Maria Thiessen, Elaina Guthmiller and Anita Thiessen. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
