She was predeceased by: her siblings, Lyle, Lloyd, Lorne, Morley, Evelyn Butwick and Velma Brittian.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Erkens; and her brothers, Harley and Ralph Gardiner. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) when COVID-19 restrictions have been withdrawn.
