He was predeceased by: his son Warren Berlin; his siblings, Dave, Eddie and Erma; and his parents, Nels Berlin and Helen Berlin (Penner).

He is survived by: his wife Marie Berlin (Thiessen); his daughters, Wanda Ferrie (Paul) of Baden, Carrie Hosie (Paul) of Alliston, Donna Yost of Tazewell, Virginia and Diana Thiessen of Toronto; his grandchildren, Kaleb Hosie, Kayla Gillis and Zakk Berlin; and his sister Verna Mundell of LeRoy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
