We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2023, at the age of 75, Bas Abbink of Saint-Thomas, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Dirk Abbink (Donna); and his parents, Herman Abbink and Cornelia Abbink (Havenaar). He is survived by: his wife Linda Abbink (Boyes); his children, Michelle Wardle (Rob), Jenny Morrison (Ric) and Laurie Bradley (Randy); his grandchildren, Leah Myles (Reubin), Ariana Stover (Brenden), Cameron Stover, Austin Stover, Hannah Stover, Tristan Wardle, Holly Morrison (Jacob) and Luke Morrison; and his siblings, Jenny Dykstra (late Sye), Harry Abbink (Cindy) and Peter Abbink (Phyllis). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Faith Church.

While I never reconnected with him after he taught me years ago I thought of him often. His belief in my abilities and his guidance in love for the arts (and Phil Collins) set me on the path I walked my entire life. He was a truly wonderful man with a large smile and a warmth and kindness that I'm sure will be greatly missed by all. Clara Hill”
