He was predeceased by: his nephew Geoffrey Kamstra; and his siblings, Janny Kamstra, Gerard Bonvanie and Henry Bonvanie. He is survived by: his spouse Hennie Bonvanie; his children, Gilbert and Amanda Bonvanie; his grandchildren, Nyanza, Octavious, Douglas and Miriam Bonvanie; his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Rebekkah, Hannah, Elizabeth and Reuben; his grandchildren, Richard and Carolyn Bonvanie; his great grandchildren, Noah, Kade, Seth, Jobe and Eden; his grandchildren, Elaine and Carlo Di Stefano; his great grandchildren, Claire, Clarke and June; his grandchildren, Timothy and Angie Bonvanie; his great grandchildren, Matthew and Justin; his sister Jennie (Jim Van Der); and his brother-in-law Harry (Lenie Kamstra). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 a private family funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).
