He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joseph Newell (Mary), Anita Wentzell (Darrell) and Deanna Nolan (late Henry); and his parents, Norman Newell and Laura Newell.
He is survived by: his spouse Carol-Ann Newell; his children, Laura Smith (Marianne), Byron Newell (Christine) and Jason Newell (Jacqueline); his grandchildren, Shelden (Taylor), Jonathan, Jessica, Nicholas, Mason, Hannah, Emma, Payton and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Noah and Blake; and his siblings, Danny Newell (late Delores), Herald "Wayne" Newell (Judy), Gaila Magee, Paulette Newell, Catherine-Ann Haverstock (late Les), Larry Newell and Norman Newell (Catherine).
