He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Robert and Ivy Kathleen Spicer (McRorie); and his sister Diane Hicks (Trevor). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Spicer (Getson); his children, Yvonne Spicer and Darryl Spicer (Paula); his grandson Cameron Spicer; and his brother Martin Spicer (Joanne). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
