She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Herfst and Nancy Herfst; and her brother Fred Herfst (Ann) of Vancouver. She is survived by: her siblings, Jozena (Alan Millar) of Chatham, Peter Herfst (Minnie) of Kitchener, Christina (Richard Wright) of Guelph, Albert Herfst (Elizabeth) of Ladysmith, BC and Margaret (Roger Robertson) of Ottawa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
