He was predeceased by: his sons, Dan and Greg; his siblings, Don (Joyce), Jim (Marilyn) and Barbara Jeffery (Doug); his parents, Frank Nairn and Mary Nairn; and his mother-in-law Gladys.

He is survived by: his wife Gail; his son Brent Nairn (Sarah); his great grandchild Nevaeh; and his father-in-law Bob Cunningham. He is also survived by his extended family and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the memory of John "Jack" Nairn may be made to the St. Marys Healthcare Foundation, St. Marys Minor Hockey or the Siloam United Church.
