He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gerth and Rose Gerth; his siblings, Eleanor "Dolly" Schnarr (Roy), Harvey Gerth (Verna) and Delores Gerth; and his brother-in-law Ed Sowa.
He is survived by: his wife Wilda Gerth; his daughters, Susan Schwark (Ron) and Carolyn Seegmiller (Philip Cressman); his grandson Wade Schwark (Lisa); his great grandchildren, Kurt, Troy, Mark Schwark (Sara) and Stephanie Kamstra (Joachim); his sister-in-law Betty Sowa; and also, Leila, Heidi, Matthew Seegmiller, Madeline, Arjen and Lewyn.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 3 p. m. Relatives and friends may join the family in the livestream of the service at http://www.erbgood.com.
