He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Eckert and Matilda Eckert; and his sister Florence Davidson. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, Donalee Jensen (John), Dale Eckert, Dianne Vezsenyi, Daniel Eckert and Deven Eckert; his grandchildren, Kyle (Natalie), Stacey (Eric), Joshua (Robyn), Jeremy, Alexander, Hana and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Jack, Abigail and Benjamin; and his siblings, Annette Meyer, Rita Guil, Gerald, Alvin, David, Brian and Bruce Eckert. He is also survived by his in-laws, nieces, nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the The Arthritis Society or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
