Chum Hammond Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2018, Chum Hammond (Saint-Marys, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother David (Marion); and his sisters-in-law, Shirley (John Carlisle), Mildred (Ted Woodley), Walter Hellyer and Norman Bennett.

He is survived by: his spouse Editha (Hellyer); his children, Peter, Mary, Jo Ann, Gary, Charlie, Audrey, Richard and Sandra; his grandchildren, Daniel (Lorie), John (Kathy), Patrick (Heather), Michael, Chad, Dean, Jane Ann (Luke), Derek (Katie), Ryan (Jill), Warren (Kristen) and Jennifer (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Brent, Baron, Bryan, Elizabeth, Amelia, William, Cohen, James, Parker and Claire; his sibling Lillian Bennett; his sibling-in-law Doreen Hellyer; and his parents, Theodora Hammond (Scott) and Charlie Hammond.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation, First Baptist Church, or the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
