He was predeceased by: his brother Gordon; his brother-in-law Asraf; his parents, John and Violet; his brother-in-law Ben; and his parents-in-law, Harry and Christina DeWetering.

He is survived by: his spouse Pauline (DeWetering); his children, Jason (Tanya), Derik (Nicole), Jennifer (Stephen), Danielle (Brad) and Brianne (Dan); his grandchildren, Alise, Aiden, Brycen, Abigail, Nicholas, Eric, Isabelle, Alex, Brooke, Dylan, Blake, Benjamin and Hailey; his siblings, Louise (Murray), David, Ron and Joan; and his siblings-in-law, Jane, Judy, Liz (Tom), Frank (Karen), Tony (Grace), Kathy (Joe), Joanne (Terry), Paul (Tami), Mike (Cynthia), Jackie (Don) and Richard (Terry Ann). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Avonbank Church, Avonbank Cemetery or the Holy Name of Mary Building Fund.
