He was predeceased by: his parents, Willi Baehr and Helene Baehr; his significant other Linda Potter; and his siblings, Harold, Renate, Annaleise and Hans George.

He is survived by: his sons, Dieter, Jens and Christopher; his brother Heinz of Germany; and his grandchild Sinai. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
