He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth McKee (Lavery); his daughter Judith Brandt; his husband Klaus; his son Ross McKee; and his siblings, Jim, Gerald, Russell, Wellington Roy, Bud, Archie, David, Doreen Neill and Lillian McDonald.

He is survived by: his children, Randall McKee and Kenneth McKee; his grandchildren, Joachim Brandt, Viviane Girardin, Ian Brandt and Heidi Brandt; his great grandchildren, Helena, Johann, Emma and Sophie; his siblings-in-law, Lillian McKee of St. Jacobs and Eva McKee of London; and his parents, Alexander McKee and Blanche McKee (Humphries).
