He was predeceased by: his parents, Antje DeVries and Duije Bakker; his spouse Baukje Koopman; and his siblings, Miek (Theunis Zeldenrust), Gerrit (Aaltje), Tjibbe (Setsche Feenstra), Jan, Jacob, Eelke (Rinkje Doorenspleet), Afke, Siep (Anne Bajema) and Berend (Margriet Slot).
He is survived by: his children, Wilma (Larry Lutgendorff), Dennis, Bill (Brenda Mackler), Anita (Don Herweyer) and Sylvia (Joey Richardson); his grandchildren, John (Annie Gabrielse), Jennifer Lutgendorff, Brittany (Stephane Desjardins), Katie, Rachael Bakker, Rebecca, Darren, Lauren Herweyer, Kate and Sam Richardson; and his sister-in-law Margriet. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
We are thankful for so many who made the Covid isolation a little brighter for him, in particular, Bert Avery, Steve Bakker and Martin Hartholt, who stopped in regularly, and Henk Huizenga, who often brought Dad, aka "the closer" on many of his sales calls.
