He was predeceased by: his parents, Florent Emiel Van Rompaey and Elisa Virginia Huber (Van Rompaey); his brother Gilbert Van Rompaey; and his nephew Danny Orban. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ethel Van Rompaey (Rotteau) of Rodney; his children, Anita (Dave Clarke), Kathy (Murray Curtis), Sharmaine Hayter of Strathroy, Shannon Shepley of London and Shane Van Rompaey of Rodney; his grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Crystal, Ryan, Brianna, Evan, Liam, Darian, Connor, Dominik and Paisley; his great grandchildren, Ethan and Alina; his siblings, Gladys Van Rompaey of Belgium, Annie Orban (David McFee), Jim (Lori Rotteau), Shawn (Carolyn Rotteau) and Violet (Ian Anderson); his sons-in-law, Mat Hayter and Matt Shepley; his friend Victor Stellingwerff; and his nieces and nephews, Wim Van Rompaey of Belgium, Roos of Belgium, Ronny Van Romapey of Belgium, Iris of Belgium, Annita Van Rompaey of Belgium, Julianna Kloss, Bob of Tillsonburg and Connie Orban of London.
