She was predeceased by: her husband Edward; and her sister Georgina Staddon. She is survived by: her children, Francis Meckevech (Brenda Horner) and Bill Meckevech (Diane Vickers); and her sibling Helen Okolisan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
