He was predeceased by: his brother Donald Wray Kriter; his son-in-law Paul Mistele; his brother-in-law Neil Fleming; and his parents, Reuben Kriter and Mabel.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Velma Kriter; his children, Donald Kevin Kriter (Irene) and Carol Ann Mistele; his grandchildren, Matthew Mistele, Amanda Inglis (Ash), Hillary Callowhill (James), Kimberly Kriter, Erik Kriter, Addison Callowhill and Quinley Inglis; his sister Jane McColl (Sandy); and his sibling-in-law Jean Fleming. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
