He is survived by: his wife Meredith Parkes (Allum); his parents, Suzanne Parkes and Nicholas Parkes of Lyn; and his brother Stephen Parkes (Deborah) of West Lorne. He is also survived by friends and additional family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation or The Owl Foundation, Vineland, Ontario, be considered. Heartfelt Thanks go out to friends, family and colleagues for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and to staff of the Neuro ICU at Hamilton General Hospital and the Trillium Gift of Life Network for making possible the successful donation of Phil's organs to three people in need.
