He was predeceased by: his sisters, Joan Rydall, Nancy Talbot and Gladys Helm. He is survived by: his spouse Hazel Joyce Ferguson; his children, Barbara (John Duffin) of Orangeville, Donald Ferguson of Newmarket and Brenda (Ernie Bender) of Durham; his siblings, Jessie Pittman, Ella White, Norman Ferguson (Derlene), Mike Ferguson (Edna) and Joyce Barham; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy McLean and Audrey Blue.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
