He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie and Orval; and his sister Winnifred Bateman. He is survived by: his wife Donna Bateman; his children, Lori, Mike Buchnea, Rob, Heather Bateman and Andrew Bateman; his grandchildren, Amanda, Korbyn, Mark, Eric, Abigail and Owen; and his sister Joan (Lorne).
