He was predeceased by: his spouse Fern Aitken; his sister Eileen Thornton; and his brothers-in-law, Alan Thornton and Carl Wride. He is survived by: his children, Larry Aitken (Susan) of Holstein, Julie (Gary Wilson) of Durham, Sylvia (Jeff Chambers) of Sudbury and Dawn (Jim Macumber) of Owen Sound; his grandchildren, Kyle Aitken (Katie), Emily Aitken, Raphy Guenter, Bob Wilson (Nicole), Brad Wilson (Jessica), Dyson Chambers (Brittany Cook), Astin Chambers, Mason Macumber and Kallen Macumber; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Reese, Blake and Jack; and his siblings, Eleanor Wride and Beverly Aitken.
