He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Goessell and Geraldine Goessell (George); his brother Brian Goessell; and his brother-in-law Denis Brousseau. He is survived by: his children, Jason, Trevor, Richard, Bobbi Jo and Melissa; his siblings, Susan Brousseau, Nancy Paylor (Harry), Steven Goessell and Adrienne Pera (Ente); and his sister-in-law Sally Norman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
