She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Stirling and Telfor Stirling; her brother Leonard Stirling; and her brother-in-law Denis Gentes. She is survived by: her spouse Marcel Gentes; her children, Ann Gentes (Dave Gelderland) of Red Lake and Michelle (Kelly Everaert) of Vancouver; her grandchildren, Jessica, Kyle, Justin Gelderland and Lucas Everaert; her siblings-in-law, Claude Gentes (Leah) of Red Lake and Orville Gentes of Red Lake; her nephew Scott Stirling; her niece Traci Turner of Chatham; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Connor, Shane, Blake, Stephen, Sydney and Spencer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carolyn may be made to the Turin United Church, Gosnell Cemetery, or the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Oncology Department.
