Linda McKinlay wrote a sympathy message

“I was so sad to hear that Carol has passed away. When we moved to Morpeth around 1973 she was the first person I met, while she was visiting her in-laws, who were our neighbours. And over the years our children met each other. We moved to Ridgetown quite a few years after, but Carol was stil a neighbour. So to all of you - I am really sorry to hear the bad news, and will be thinking of you all. Linda McKinlay and familyl”
