She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Eckel; her parents, Perley and Elsie of Orillia; and her brothers, Philips Lewis (late Ellen) and Gerald Lewis (late Joan).

She is survived by: her children, Sue Levy (Peter) of Maryland, Peter Eckel of Richmond Hill and Jane Cousineau (Richard) of Brooklin; her grandchildren, Michelle Wood (Nick), Alex Bone, Eric Cousineau (Rebecca) and Austin Cousineau; her great grandchildren, Ava, Olivia, Kaden, Ivy and Clark; and her brother Jack Lewis (Keitha).
