She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McDowell and Elizabeth 'Betty McDowell of Niagara Falls, Ontario.. She is survived by: her siblings, Donna Skells (Graham) of Mississauga, Sandra McDowell (Norm Watson) of Georgetown and David McDowell (Shelley) of St. Catharines; and her nieces and nephews, Michael, Jason, Ryan Skells, Caitlin, Jamie, Riley Watson and Meredith McDowell. She is also survived by many cousins, friends and extended family.
