He was predeceased by: his parents, Willem and Dersken; and his brother Barry. He is survived by: his wife Nellie; his children, Sheryl (Douglas), Kenneth (Junko), Janice and Patricia (Steven); his grandchildren, Lauren, Brandon, Christian, Jesse, John, Elliot, Oliver and Sebastian; and his siblings, Henry (Lynda), Willie and Jackie (Mike). He is also survived by his family and friends.
