She was predeceased by: her parents, Gavin Henderson and Shirley Henderson (Bill Houlden). She is survived by: her significant other Peter; her children, Jennifer (Paul), Robert (Haifa) and Robyn (Michael); and her grandsons, Max and Zachary.
In honour of her memory, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Dorothy Houlden to Richmond Hill United Church or Odette Cancer Centre - Sunnybrook Hospital.
