The passing of Dorothy Geraldine Penney of Richmond Hill, Ontario, born in Saint John, New Brunswick leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 8, 2024 at the age of 99. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Milbury and Blanche Milbury (Sabean); her husband Irving D. Penney; and her siblings, Flora, Barb, Myrtle, Madeline, Betty, Vangie, Margaret, Bobby, John and Warren.
She is survived by: her children, June Thompson (Dennis) of Brampton, Ontario, Patricia "Pat" Proudfoot (late Rick) and John Penney (Katherine "Kathy" Connell); her grandchildren, Michelle, Susan, Derrick, Pamela, Danielle and Krystal; and her sisters, Bertha Jagger, Grace Robar, Nictaux and Anne Cody (Larry). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Pine Grove Cemetery (84 Evangeline Trail, Middleton, NS B0S1P0). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Christian Family Centre.
