He was predeceased by: his parents, Ioannis Vlahakis and Antonia Vlahakis. He is survived by: his wife Vasiliki "Betty" Vlahakis; his son John Vlahakis; his grandchildren, Kostas and Christian Vlahakis; his daughter Tonia Dinopoulos (Steve Dinopoulos); and his grandchildren, Alexander and Alyssa Dinopoulos.
