She was predeceased by: her spouse Tamme Oegema; her sons, Lloyd and Roger; her grandson Dakota; her sister Hilly; her half-sister Joyce; her parents, Rikkert van der Galien and Aaltjee of Boer; and her stepmother Hendrika Bos.

She is survived by: her children, Bartelo (Sue), Richard (Connie), Ed (Lisa), Anita, Earl and Susan; her grandchildren, Nicole (Kyle), Thomas (Laura), Kayla, Megan (Matt), Cody, Keegan, Ashley, Mandy, Randy, Dustin, Groete, Charlie Marie, Myah Ann, Selena, Scarlett and Amber; and also, Maynard van der Galien and Anita Salaytah.
