She was predeceased by: her husband David F. Purdie; her children, John and Joyce (David McMahon); her parents, John Eggelston and Harriet Burdett; and her siblings, Joyce, Beryl and John.

She is survived by: her sons, Brian (Irene) and David (Debbie); and her grandchildren, Kerri-Ann, William, Teri-Lynn, Jennifer, Brian, Leanne and Liam. She is also survived by her 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
