He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Blimkie; his grandson Mitchell; his brother Raymond; and his parents, Patrick Blimkie and Clare Blimkie.
He is survived by: his children, David (Maureen), Steven (Kimberly), Alan (Katherine) and Kim; his grandchildren, Mel, Rebecca (Matthew), Travis, Kristopher (Emily), Briana (Greg), Justine (Phil), Kaitlyn and Abigail; his great grandchildren, Elliott, Adaline, Charlotte, Evelyn, Elise and August; and his siblings, Lawrence (Yvette), Melba (late Boyd), Ruth (Fred), Carol and Gail (late Ron). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Bonnechere Manor Foundation or the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
