He was predeceased by: his parents, Lou and Vivian; and his siblings, Ken, Marlene Biggar and Myrna Pownall.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra (Larabie); his stepmother Isabelle Pownall; his children, Robbin Sayer (Mike) and Christa Southcott (Regan); his granddaughters, Lauren and Maddison; his siblings, Lorie Anderson (Steven), Bob (Ruth), Bryan (Karen), Ian (Sandy), Robin (Linda), Peter, Warner Pownall and Brian Pownall; and his sisters-in-law, Clare Anne Whitfield (Jontie), Jean Fredette and Judy Fredette. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and his many great friends.
