It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerome Golka of Renfrew, Ontario, born in Barrys Bay, Ontario, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Frances; and his siblings, Edward, Wilfred "Pete" (late Doreen) and Bernice "Berna" Lorbetskie (late Kenneth).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret June; his children, Trevor and Marsha; and his siblings, Marcella (late Lorne Chippior) and John "Jack" Golka (Ursula).
Due to Covid-19 a celebration of life will take place in Barry's Bay at a later date.
Jerry continued to live in Barry's Bay until February of 2017 when he moved to Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew to receive care for Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia.
