He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hart and Janet Hart. He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Charlene (Richard Bedassi) and Jeanette (Quintin Bowes); his grandchildren, Brandon, Braydon, Tyrel and Kaleb; his siblings, Catherine (Barclay Ewing) and Joe (Wendy); his sister-in-law Lorraine Hart; his nieces and nephews, Rhona, Laura, Alicia, Mandy, Freya, Caitlyn, Chris and A. J.; and also Collette Hart (Barry).

Donations in memory of Alec may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
