He was predeceased by: his parents, Rhoda Tibbel (Brummel) and Herman Tibbel. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Faye Tibbel; his sisters, Sharon and Holly; his children, Terri Tibbel-Mosher (Bruce Mosher), Alberta, Dwayne Tibbel (Sherry Peters), Derek Tibbel and Ramara; his granddaughter Kara Lucas; and his great grandchildren, Owen Fraser (Bridgette MacKay), Scarlett Fraser and Abigail Fraser.
In February, 2020, Wayne, due to his Parkinson's disease that had become debilitating, signed himself into Muskoka Shores Care Community in Gravenhurst following a rehabilitation period at Bracebridge Hospital.
