It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Almers (Rainy River, Ontario), born in Morson, Ontario, who passed away on March 16, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Nora; his wife Laura; his siblings, David, John, Almer, Elizabeth Meta, Rebecca and Katherina; his nephew David Blight; and his sisters-in-law, Louise Johnson, Gladys Peloquin and Marjorie Bolen.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Betty Blight, Jerry Blight (Martha), Forest Armstrong (John), Elayne Blight, Wayne Blight (Cathy), Amber Davidson, Star Clarke (Ben), Wes Blight (Norma), Ardie Blight, Trevor Blight (Diann MacKay), Irving Blight (Geraldine) and Bryan Almers (Linda); and his brother-in-law Gerald Fadden.
If friends so desire in memoriam donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Township of Lake of the Woods for the Morson Hall.
