He is survived by: his spouse Isabel Maria Simas; his sons, Luis Simas (Diane) and Nelson Simas (Sandra); his grandchildren, Isiah, Matthew, Noah and Ava; and his siblings, Gabriela Amaral, Luisa Simas and Carlos Simas (Luisa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
