He was predeceased by: his spouse Jessie Alkerton; his parents, John Alkerton and Laura Alkerton; and his siblings, Charles, Earl, Dora Kerr and Helen Alkerton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ruth Perkins and George Alkerton (Eleanor). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
